Before even trying to connect, make sure you have an account. Please head here and PM Admin Acacia for an account.

How to Connect
Step 1: Getting the game
First download the game, Mondain’s Legacy (700+MB): Here

Step 2: Gateway
Next get UOGateway: Here

Step 3: Connecting to Sylvan
After you have both programs you need to connect to the Sylvan Heart server. There are two ways you can do this.

1. Easy way
Click here and confirm you want to add Sylvan Heart to your serverlist, then
when you want to play, launch UOGateway and we're there in "Local Servers."

*Note* You may be prompted to find your UOGateway client first. It's usually much easier to click the link through Internet Explorer rather than using other web browsers such as Firefox.

2. Longer way
Launch UOGateway and click on the “New Local Server” tab. Next, input the following server information in the corresponding boxes, as shown in the screenshot then click “save settings.”

*Note* Make sure you do not have any spaces at the end of the IP address or port. This “space” will be invisible to you, so the only way to check is to press the “backspace” button.

IP: sylvanheartuo.dyndns.org
Port: 1980

At this point you can copy and paste the patch links below into the patch boxes, but I suggest downloading them and adding them each manually to avoid any problems that might happen.

So, to add them manually, save the changes and then go back in to edit the server. Now click the "add file" button near the bottom and add each one of the patches one at a time. You can download the patches here:

Step 4: Fun!
Now you can play!

*Optional* Step 5: Connecting with Razor
For those of you wishing to connect using Razor, here's how.
1. Download Razor version 1.0.0: Here
2. Next, go into UOGateway and click on the "settings" tab. Set Razor to "yes" and save.
3. Now go to your "My Servers" tab, then on the right hand side of the Sylvan Heart link, there will be a little page icon which has been dog-eared on the left hand side. Click that, set Razor to "yes" in there as well and save.
4. Now your client is ready to play with Razor working!

In particular, if UOGateway says you have no client, go to the folder where you installed UOGateway and replace your uog.rar file with this one: uog.rar

Also, if you are using XP, Vista, or later windows:
1. Go to the folder where you installed Gateway and find the .exe (should look like the UOGateway icon)
2. Right click the .exe file and go to properties
3. Click the compatibility tab
4. Check the mode for windows 98/windows Me
5. Click ok
6. Right click the .exe file again
7. Click "Run as..."
8. Check to "Run as the following user"
9. Select the administrator and put in the password if there is one
10. Click ok

Now to do the same for your Sylvan Client file:
1. Open UOGateway.
2. Click to edit the Sylvan Heart server.
3. You'll see the settings for Sylvan Heart. Under "Server Settings" you'll see "Directory:". That is where the client.exe for SH is stored. Go there and find the client.exe
4. Right click the .exe file and go to properties
5. Click the compatibility tab
6. Check the mode for windows 98/windows Me
7. Click ok
8. Right click the .exe file again
9. Click "Run as..."
10. Check to "Run as the following user"
11. Select the administrator and put in the password if there is one
12. Click ok

Now to do the same for Razor if you are using razor:
1. Go to the folder where you installed Razor and find the .exe (it should look like the Razor icon)
2. Right click the .exe file and go to properties
3. Click the compatibility tab
4. Check the mode for windows 98/windows Me
5. Click ok
6. Right click the .exe file again
7. Click "Run as..."
8. Check to "Run as the following user"
9. Select the administrator and put in the password if there is one
10. Click ok
